David Lewis is the Founder and Listing Broker of the David Lewis Group at Compass and has been helping Silicon Valley buyers and sellers navigate the real estate market since 2004.

David specializes in residential real estate throughout Santa Clara County, including San Jose, Los Gatos, Campbell, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Saratoga, Mountain View, and surrounding communities. He works with first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, downsizers, investors, clients navigating major life transitions, and clients in trust and probate sales.

Before entering real estate, David spent nearly two decades in the Health Promotion industry, working with Fortune 500 companies across the United States. That experience shaped his consultative style and ability to listen carefully, solve problems creatively, and guide clients through complex decisions with clarity and confidence.

Born in Mississippi and raised throughout the United States and Europe in a military family, David has called Silicon Valley home for nearly three decades. He earned his degree in Exercise Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach, and later obtained his California Real Estate license in 2004 and his Broker's license in 2020.

Beyond serving clients, David is passionate about coaching and mentoring real estate professionals in communication, negotiation, and client relationships. He regularly teaches classes focused on tactical empathy, listening skills, and high-stakes real estate conversations.

When he's not helping clients buy or sell homes, you'll find David spending time with his wife Margaret and family, walking, gardening, cooking, weightlifting, square dancing, and staying actively involved in the local community.
